Isn't this supposed to be a weight LOSS blog? It's time to get real with myself. I have been wallowing in my depression and not getting real. And here I am, about to hit 200. I am 5'4.5!!! This is obese. I can't fit in my clothes. It's time to make a change. Maybe this is my rock bottom?
I sure hope so.
Last night, laying in bed, I realized my hips hurt.... again. Weight gain can do that to ya. That, and having impossibly tight muscles.
Stress, weight gain, being out of shape... all this is causing my muscles to be tight, and physically causing me pain.
So how do we loosen ourselves, loosen our muscles? Yoga.
Have I ever done yoga? Absolutely not.
The internet is a wonderful thing. Youtube can open an entire world of possibilities. Including beginners yoga. This means, you can do your yoga in your living room! Without all those judging eyes of people who can actually touch their toes. Maybe I'll be one of those people one day...
Until then, I think yoga is a good place to start alongside cardio.
I'm a morning person (I know, screw me, right?) So I'm thinking of waking up early in the morning, and doing yoga without my kids driving me nuts. Have a little "me" time each day. That will help the stress, too.

I found this youtube video I'm going to start with :
She suggests doing this every day for a week, and deciding whether to take it the next step or not, so that's what I'll do. I'll check in next week... and I'm going to try to stop shoving my face with food to escape my problems. I'll have more luck with the yoga :/
