Week 1. Not as planned.

That hurts to type. I almost aaalllllmost either didn't blog this week, or erased last week and started over.
But then it wouldn't be honest fitness, would it?


Sometimes, you have an emotional week, and binging is the only way to make you feel better. Sometimes, a family member has a birthday and you pig out at the party. Sometimes, you're working on weaning your child, so all the calories burned while breastfeeding are no longer part of your day.
This week, it was all of the above.

On a positive note, yesterday I went to the gym for the first time in 2.5 years. That.... was embarrassing. I went with my husband (who is a gymrat), though we went in separate rooms. I decided on the elliptical interval training with arm blasters.
I think it was like 30 seconds of sprinting, 30 seconds of walking. The arm blasters was for 10 seconds during the walking, where the arm tension goes way up and you have to push and pull pretty hard.
I went a whopping 20 minutes before I felt like I was going to be sick and had to quit.

It was defeating to go in after everyone there, and leave first. But I have to start somewhere, no?
Possibly going to zumba tonight. Also, Gotta stop pigging out all the time. sheesh.
